Greetings from Savannah. We have just returned from a testing and promo session in Connecticut and Newport Rhode Island. A very successful trip, with our objectives achieved.
Testing and Refinement:
Sail designer Ched Proctor from North Sails has been working with us on further refinement of sailplan and rig geometry. This testing carried out last week advanced us to a point where we are close to final specification. Between Ched’s expertise, the North membrane analysis capability, and sister company Southern Spars advanced rig development software, I believe we have the best partners in the business, the result being a state of the art package that will deliver reliable performance second to none.
Magazine and Internet:
While in Newport we had the opportunity to entertain Sailing World editors Dave Reed, and Stu Struelli, and Sail Magazine writer Andy Burton. Sailing World has published their piece with video, and Sail magazine will follow shortly. Look out for them on the news stands and on-line. All came away from their VX experience impressed with the boat’s ease of handling, light feel, and, exhilarating performance.
