Why don't race cars use water filled tires?

It's a common question: why don't race cars use water-filled tires? The answer lies in performance. Water-filled tires are much heavier, which would negatively impact the car's speed and handling. Additionally, water could heat up during the race, causing the tires to expand and potentially blow out. So, for safety and efficiency, race cars stick with air-filled tires.
